In continuation of my experiments with biochar, today I have designed a mini floating garden. This consists of plants, fish, biochar compost and gravel using a cool drinks plastic bottle (it is put to some good purpose finally). The water in the bottle does not spill, if kept in moving vehicles. More over due to small holes and covering by the plants there would be more oxygen in water for the fish.
Biochar Floating Garden is an integrated approach for efficient use of resources. Water for both plants and fish, soil for plants and as source of nutrients for fish, the droppings of fish as a nutrient source for plants, etc.
It adds lots of aesthetics and value. The same model can be expanded for growing various tops of crops in the lake / tanks.
